Golf Lesson Information below

Coach McGannon played professional golf for 5 years, based in Pinehurst, North Carolina.  His experiences there as caddie master at historic Pinehurst # 2 are highlighted in a 1994 Rick Reilly article in Sports Illustrated.  It’s a look at the game through the eyes of a DWINDLING (and now nearly extinct) species:  the Caddie.

Basketball players who take advantage of our Mental Strength Training service will get an inside look at handling adversity, failure, success, routines, confidence issues, anger, practice habits, visualization and many other traits great players share.

In 1994, Coach had the opportunity to spend 5 hours on Pinehurst # 2 in a practice round as Arnold Palmer’s caddie.  Short story: Arnie and Me.

  • Member, Dartmouth College golf team (the tall guy)
  • Dartmouth College Golf Champion, 1981

TIP: As the 1:18 video below POINTEDLY describes, I do NOT have a classic swing.  I am 6’9″ (a DISADVANTAGE in golf), I never took lessons and there is nothing technically sound about how I swing.  But I played at a very high level because I think correctly and have a great short game.  This training is better suited for GOOD to VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT players.  Course management, managing misses, thinking properly and lowering your score with these often overlooked fundamentals is right in my wheelhouse.  Call 616 402-1600 or e-mail
